JOB PURPOSE

JVM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientist IV to join our team and perform a full range of scientific services with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 (South Central) serving Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in serving as a scientific or technical resource.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a senior scientific or technical resource on a task.
• Provide analysis, guidance, and insight into the environmental, scientific, or technical discipline under evaluation.
• Plan, conduct, and supervise multiple projects.
• Estimate and schedule work to meet completion dates.
• Direct project staff, review progress, and evaluate results, and make changes in methods, design, or equipment where necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

•  Bachelor's degree in a science
• 10 years of experience.
• Ability to operate with some latitude for unreviewed action or decisions.
•  Must be able to pass a background check.
