JVM Solutions is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our corporate team. The Contracts Administrator will perform contract management, contract negotiation, and contract compliance. This position will assist the Project Manager in the full-cycle coordination of incoming and existing government contracts. The position involves close coordination and collaboration with internal stakeholders across multiple departments, as well as acting as the contractual point of contact for subcontractors, consultants, and clients. The preferred candidate will have specific Federal Government contracting experience with a working knowledge of the FAR. 

We are looking for someone who is forward thinking and thinks strategically to offer process improvements related to business practices, systems and tools aimed at increasing efficiency, productivity, and flexibility. 

 Job Descriptions:

    • Engage with Internal staff and Customers to advise on contracting strategies and working with Contracting officers to ensure timely awards and seamless contractual coverage 
    • Review solicitation documents and draft contract terms and conditions for risk and acceptability, providing inputs to and review of proposals, formulating and executing negotiation strategies
    • Negotiate/administer a wide range of task orders and contract modifications, and maintain data in electronic files and business systems 
    • Negotiate and administer government contracts, including administration of subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention.
    • Effectively managing and mitigating changes and claims through the negotiations and/or dispute resolution processes.
    • Manage, organize and facilitate communication between the company and its customer.
    • Provide advice on FAR, DFARS, and agency specific supplements and respond, when appropriate, to related issues.
    • Ensure compliance of managed contracts with the regulatory and organization requirements set out by ANG, the FAR, and all FAR supplemental regulations 
    • Remain confident and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing business environment.
    • Express oneself clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Be responsible for reviewing others’ work for drafting accuracy, compliance issues and overall quality
    • Be a critical thinker able to partner with Project Teams and others and bring forth practical and proactive problem- solving skills.
    • Participate in status and contract review meetings to review and report on contracts administrative and compliance status
    • Work independently, in team settings, and under time pressured deadlines.
    • Maintain the highest ethical standards.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

 

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. 
  • Have 5+ years of professional level experience in federal government "prime" contracting. 
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and FAR supplements. 
  • Have strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience working with a variety of contract types (FP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, etc.) 
  • Experience in monitoring contracts / subcontracts of increasing complexity and value 
  • Detailed knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, close-out, and records retention 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel 
  • Have proficient MS Word and Excel skills. 
  • Are able to form close and effective partnerships. 
  • Can multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and independently solve problems
